The Search Giant Google plays many major roles in web industry from advertising, analytics to communication and enterprise solutions. But an average user is never aware of some of the interesting products and projects maintained by them. So I thought of writing a compilation of some of the interesting projects and products developed by Google.

Google Chrome and Adobe Flash player is pre-installed in it. You can watch videos from YouTube, view photos, chat with friends. It’s just like a power computer designed for Media. Also you can use your android based or Iphone smart phone to control your TV. Seriously I am not joking about it. My final verdict about Google TV is that it is going to change the way you watch Television.

We know Google Street view, Moon view but the folks at Google had gone further to take high quality business photos of Local listing in Google Places. Right now business consumers in US, Japan and Australia could allow Google Photographers to take Interior photos of their businesses and publish it in their Google Places listing. The photos may include the storefront, decor, layout, merchandise, food, signage about hours and accepted payment types, and other items that help people learn more about a business and decide if they want to go there. Next time if you are looking for a good restaurant for your first date and worried about finding a better ambiance I hope Google places will come to rescue.


What if I told you technology can drive cars for you? It’s true. Google has developed a technology that uses video cameras, radar sensors and laser range finder to see other traffic with guided maps to travel and navigate safely across the traffic. These cars have been test drive successfully. By this way Google aims to reduce road accidents and cut carbon emissions by proper use. Google self driving cars are good example of innovation and give a glimpse about our future transportation.
